Jocelyn Hsu
Orlando-based violinist, singer, & songwriter
A lifelong performer and multi-instrumentalist, Jocelyn blends her classical music training with indie pop songwriting. She initially gained traction in the progressive rock scene in 2019 while touring with Rock n' Roll Hall of Famer Jon Anderson of YES, and then went on to perform with other artists such as Anberlin, Robby Steinhardt from KANSAS, and Disturbed.
Jocelyn's studio compositions and performances can be heard in Matt Shenk's single "Lay Down Your Weapons," which won the Orlando 2020 90.7 WMFE Tiny Desk Contest; Robby Steinhardt's posthumous album "Not in Kansas Anymore"; VGM album "Generations" by John Paul Hayward, which pays homage to video game soundtracks from Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Legend of Zelda; and more.
In writing and producing her own music, Jocelyn draws inspiration from jazz, bossa nova, classical music, and pop to create lush, romantic soundscapes paired with thoughtful, introspective lyrics.
